I double-majored in English and Political Science at St. Mary’s University before earning my Master’s in Political Theory at the University in Regina in 2011. Studying the roots of unrest in the 20th century, I was left with the desire to challenge the unspoken assumptions that drive our world today.
In 2012 I joined Leap Motion, a fledgling San Francisco startup that wanted to fundamentally change how people interact with computers. Over the following six years, I came to oversee the company's global developer partnerships and programs, marketing initiatives, web and developer experience, social media, and digital content. All while based in a small fishing town in Nova Scotia, where I live with my wife Kim and daughter Chrystie.
Six years is a lifetime in the world of tech startups. In 2019 I set off on my own with Farflung Studio, an independent consultancy specializing in marketing, branding, and customer experience. Our team works with early-stage startups working on fundamental problems – especially when those problems aren't obvious.
